Feel free to read it, share it, or even use it to help you explain the Gospel in your own words. You never know whose eternity could be impacted by your obedience.

Step 1: Start With a Truth

Let me begin by saying this clearly:
You are deeply, unconditionally loved.

Before anything else, before any conversation about faith or salvation, you need to know this truth—God loves you personally, completely, and intentionally.

You are not an accident.
You are not forgotten.
You were created on purpose, for a purpose.

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you…” – Jeremiah 1:5
“I have loved you with an everlasting love.” – Jeremiah 31:3

God didn’t just create you to exist. He designed you to belong to Him, to walk in joy, peace, purpose, and freedom. He longs to be close to you—not just when life is falling apart, but every single day.

And here’s the beautiful part:
He doesn’t ask you to come to Him perfect.
He simply asks you to come with an open heart.

This relationship He offers isn’t about doing everything right.
It’s not about religion or routine.
It’s about knowing Him personally, and letting His love change your life from the inside out.

So before we talk about what’s gone wrong in the world—or even in your own life—hold on to this truth:

You matter to God.
He sees you.
He hears you.
He loves you.

Step 2: Explain the Problem

Even though God created us for relationship, something came between us and Him—sin.

Now, when we hear the word “sin,” we often think of bad actions. But it’s deeper than that. Sin is when we choose our own way instead of God’s way. It’s when we try to live life apart from Him, thinking we can do it on our own.

And we’ve all done that.

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23

Sin separates us from God.
It creates a gap between His holiness and our brokenness.
It leaves us empty, ashamed, and searching—sometimes without even knowing why.

That’s why no matter how much we achieve, succeed, or even try to be “good,” there’s still something missing.

But here’s the good news: God didn’t leave us in that place.
He had a rescue plan from the very beginning.

Step 3: Share the Good News

Jesus is that rescue plan.

God loved us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to do what we couldn’t—to restore the relationship between us and Him.

Jesus came to earth, lived a perfect life, and chose to die on the cross—not for His sins (because He had none), but for ours. He took our place. He paid the price.

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

And He didn’t stay dead—Jesus rose again after three days, proving that sin and death were defeated once and for all.

Because of Jesus, you don’t have to live disconnected, guilty, or uncertain anymore.
You can be forgiven, healed, and reconnected to God—fully and freely.

This is the Gospel:
Jesus took your place, so you can take your place in God’s family.

Step 4: Extend the Invitation

This isn’t just a story—it’s an invitation.

God is offering you a new beginning. A life filled with purpose. A relationship that’s real, deep, and everlasting. But just like any gift, it has to be received.

“To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” – John 1:12

He’s not waiting for you to be perfect.
He’s just waiting for you to say yes.

Would you like to start a relationship with Jesus today?
If you feel that tug in your heart, that’s not just emotion—that could be God drawing you closer.

Step 5: Lead Them in a Prayer (If They’re Ready)

If you’re ready to begin this journey, you can pray right where you are. The words aren’t magic—it’s the sincerity of your heart that matters.

Here’s a simple prayer to guide you:

“Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for me and rose again. I know I’ve sinned and need Your forgiveness. I open my heart to You right now. Please come into my life, make me new, and lead me every day. I give You my life. Amen.”

If you just prayed that, know this: heaven is rejoicing, and I am too.

Step 6: Follow-Up

Your decision is just the beginning. Just like a seed needs water, light, and care to grow—your faith needs nurturing too.

Here’s how you can take your next steps:

  • Talk to someone: I’d love to continue walking with you or help you find someone who can.
  • Read God’s Word: Start with this short Bible plan made for new believers → Starting Fresh – YouVersion
  • Join a Christian community: Find a local church or an online group where you can grow in your relationship with Jesus.

You don’t have to walk this journey alone. Jesus is with you—and so are other believers who care.

“He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.” – Philippians 1:6
